[Updated] SUG Cup – Defending Champions Thrashed! Semi-Final Date Scheduled.

Update: The Student Union Government inter-departmental football competition semi-final scheduled to hold today Mon, July 10 has been postponed till Tuesday July 11, 2017.

The Semi-Final Fixtures.

Civil Engineering vs Surveying- 1pm @ North 1

Mass Comm vs Purchasing & Supply – 3pm @ North 1

Now four teams remain in the SUG Inter-Departmental Cup after sides in the competition like the defending champions Accountancy, Mechanical Engineering among others fell during the previous rounds of matches. Civil Engineering, Mass Communication, Surveying & Geo-informatics, and Purchasing & Supply are currently the remaining teams in the league.

Civil Engineering proceeds to the semi-final after thrashing Art and Design, Mass Communication dealt with Math & Stats to secure a place in the semi-final stage. Also, Survey & Geo-informatics had her way to the semi-final by dealing with the defending champion, Accountancy while Purchasing & Supply qualified for the semi-final stage by knocking out NASTES in the quarter final.

The semi-final matches will hold on Monday, July 10 2017 as Surveying & Geo-informatics will be playing against Civil Engineering by 1pm while Mass Communication will be playing against Purchasing & Supply by 3pm both at North Field 1 to determine those that will take part in the final.

The third-place which will be decided by runners-up on the semi-final alongside with the final match has been scheduled to be played on Friday.
