SUG Analyzes Points To Counter & Clarify Accusations

In reaction to the recent write-up spreading on social media platforms accusing SUG of distracting the students, awakes this rejoinder to counter and clarify. The accuser laid his/her claims in points, such as:

==> School fees was increased with #5,000

==> Medical clearance commenced on Tuesday 28th February, 2018

==> SUG trying to delay student registration

==> SUG Due on high side compared with population of the students

ANALYSIS

Starting with the first point; to be sincere with ourselves, we all know that school just resumed barely a month ago owing to a 3-months NASU strike of which the SUG played a very key role to making the resumption not later than that, with several solidarity activities like using media houses, newspaper, even meeting major role player of the strike to find a quick resolution and ensuring quick resumption for the student populace. While GOD helping us, crowned our efforts with success, the school resumed last month (February).

Upon resumption, SUG were invited to a meeting by the management, where school fees hike of 50% was proposed for newly admitted student. Management on their part claiming that no school faces such that strike without facing a tuition fee increment upon resumption.

A practical example is LAUTECH, that 100% increment was made on their tuition fees upon resumption. Having heard this, SUG, with the best interest of our fellow students, beat it down and came to a compromise with management for a reduction in the increment of 50% to 10% for newly admitted students only, which our accuser has no knowledge about.

Second claim being the medical clearance starting on 28th february and SUG did not informed student; it should be noted that, SUG had announced during resumption and advised fresh and stale students to resume as early as possible because  lectures and registration will be done simultaneously. SUG will never distract students.[adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

Lastly, the claim that SUG Due is on high side compared with the population of students; Sincerely, we all know the economic situation of our dear country, where every money spent does not give the right value, and prices of goods and services increases everyday and quality decreases, and to ensure a smooth academic session with Social and Sport activities to be carried out, capital projects to be executed, hence  SUG Due remain same as last regime, no increment to #500, compared with some people who charges #3500, #5000 on campus.

With all these facts, we will like to advise the entire student to stay calm and give SUG 100% trust, cooperation and confidence, disregarding and ignoring any post or write-up written on baseless argument in relative with motive of inciting you (student) against SUG, and focus on your studies which is the primary objective.

Trust SUG that we shall always have your best interest at heart. Do have an enjoyable and hassle free semester.

Yours in struggle…..

ALUTA CONTINUA, VICTORIA ASCERTA….

  1. Bravo for an excellent post, Father! Just this week I challenged the author of a Minneapolis Star Tribune article about the “victims of priestly sex abuse in our archdiocese who are whining that they haven”t been paid their settlements yet because the archdiocese is still working through bankruptcy proceedings. In my comment, I challenged those “victims to produce evidence of sexual abuse, & also pointed out that under no other circumstances are allegations against a deceased person even tolerated! Minnesota passed a special law eliminating the statute of limitations on sex abuse cases SOLELY against priests!!! The wimpiness of the MN bishops who”ve never demanded proof of abuse from accusers, never protected the civil & canon law rights of their priests, but threw all of them “under the bus is why this archdiocese is facing bankruptcy. The laity are being robbed, but we”re expected to sit quietly & obediently while the chanceries allow all accusers to be rewarded with big settlements! Grrrrrrrrr. By the way, I got no feedback on my comments.
