 Theft At PolyIBADAN South Campus

This is to report to you that on the 10th of May, 2018, National Association of Electrical Electronics Engineering Students (NAEEES) Hall witnessed the action of theft overnight.

It was reported that several electrical appliances owned by the department, including one of the air-conditioning machine installed at the faculty building were carted away by unsuspected thieves. [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

This is among many of such occurrences experienced by the institution, most especially at the south campus and middle belt. Most recent among is one recorded on Sunday 6th May, 2018 when some staff quarters were burgled and lots of gadgets from these houses were stolen.

Furthermore, it was gathered that one of the major causes of these rampant issues like burglar is the unguarded entrances that lead to the school, a typical example of the gate leading to Polytechnic, Ibadan High School at the Middlebelt.

We therefore plead to the management of the institution through the Security Department to tighten up surveillance by the day and night, even on Sundays, giving high regard to the South campus and the Middle belt.

It is of course believed that an external security agency has been saddled with these responsibilities but more is still needed in order to ensure the safety of lives and properties of students and staff on campus.

These robbery cases did not exclude the commercial shops and offices within the campus.
