Having published post on Students’ Union Eligibility Criteria for aspirants, here is the approved time-table for the  2018/2019 Students’ Union Election.

• ==> Preliminary meetings to decide strategies for conduct of the 2018/2019 SUE and Senate election       —–       Tuesday, 10th July, 2018
• ==> (b.) Circulation of Eligibility criteria           ——–          Wednesday, 11th July, 2018
• ==> Collection of Nomination Forms:             ——–           Friday, July 13,  –  Thursday, July 26, 2018
• ==> Closing date of submission of completed Nomination Forms          ——–   Thursday, 26th July, 2018
• ==> Display of list of candidates on notice boards       —–       Friday , 27th July, 2018
• ==> Meeting with candidates       —–       Monday 30th July, 2018
• ==> Screening of candidates       —–       Tuesday, 31st July, 2018
• ==> Display of Approved list of Candidates       —–       Wednesday, 1st August, 2018
• ==> (b.) Consideration of Petitions on result of screening       —–       Thursday, 2nd August, 2018
• ==> Commencement of Campaign by contestants       —–       Friday, 3rd August, 2018 – Monday, 13th August, 2018
• ==> Submission of photographs and list of contestants’ Agents       —–       Friday, 10th August, 2018
• ==> Press day and Manifesto day       —–       Tuesday 14th August, 2018
• ==> Election Day for SUE       —–       Wednesday, 15th August, 2018
• ==> Deadline for submission of complaints on SUE Election       —–       Friday, 17th August, 2018
• ==> Election day for Senate       —–       Friday, 17th August, 2018
• ==> Deadline for submission of complaints on SENATE Election       —–       Monday, 2oth August 2018.
• ==> Consideration of all Election Petitions (SUE/SENATE Elections)       —–       Tuesday, 21st August, 2018
• ==> Seminar for all Elected SUE/SENATE       —–       Wednesday, 12th- Thursday, 13th September, 2018
• ==> Seminar for all Elected SUE / SENATE – Friday, 14th September, 2018.

Also we recommend that during campaigning and or supporters are banned from:

• ==> Using motorcade by the contestants
• ==> Passing posters on walls of Offices, Lecture Theaters, Classrooms
• ==> Use of Digital Banners
• ==> Wearing of branded vests
• ==> Inscriptions on roads & buildings
• ==> Violence during campaign and Election
• ==> Consumption of alcohol during campaign and Election
• ==> Usage of hard drug and possession of dangerous weapons during Campaign ‘ and Election
• ==> Campaign are not meant to be done while lectures are going on.

All voters must possess the following as criteria for voting:

• ==> Any of the following Identity Cards i.e. School I.D. Faculty, Departmental and Library
• ==> 1st Semester 2018/2019 School fees receipt for voters
• ==> 1st and 2nd “d semesters 2018/2019 school fees receipts tor candidates
• ==> Students’ Union Receipt
• ==> Registered List from Faculty for accreditation purpose.
• ==> ND I & HND I students must have submitted their Matriculation Oath.
