Press Council Chairman Apartment Burgled. Valuables Were Carted Away

There has been incessant incidence of theft cases that pillage the school environment in recent times. Due the inadequacy in the security of properties on campus, students, being the victims, have lost several valuables to theft. Sequel to that, there’s a gross injustice done as these atrocities aren’t investigated whenever they are reported to the appropriate offices, only few random checks were done, and that’s all. This, assertively, has given audacity to the perpetrators for continuance of such malignant acts.

In old times, theft had always been recorded to be carried out at night, then when there’s utmost certainty that their identity would be concealed by the night, but in recent times, the time of perpetration of theft has made a transit from the night to during the day. This definitely should increase the rate at which they’re be caught, but NO, they perpetrate the act and go unnoticed. What has this insinuated? [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

Many questions may arise from these such as — is there a collusion between the thieves on campus and the offices in charge of security? Except if it’s a scenario of inadequate security which I want to believe in, contrary to that, then yes may be appropriate to answer such question.

During the semester, many theft cases reported at the Halls of residence, departments and some staff quarters. More recently, on the 29th of October, the apartment of the Press Council Chairman was burgled, and various valuables which include Laptop, Phone, money and documents were carted away. The case has been reported to the appropriate offices, and hopefully, something good comes out of it.

So with every theft incidence, this has left the victim blank and completely devastated. This, hitherto, has left us a question dangling in the air, “Is security on campus not a contemporary irony?
