The meeting which took off by 11:15am was chaired by Dr. M.k Lawal at the Faculty building had in attendance: Assistant Faculty Officer, FFIMSSA staff advisers, – Mr Atanda, Mr Afonja, and Mr Akintoye; the executive, legislative and Editorial board members of the Faculty of Financial Management Studies Students’ Association, ASISAN president, NABAF President, NAPAS President and Speaker.

Dr. M.K. Lawal started by appreciating the staff advisers for their good leadership over the students’ association of the faculty, he also commended FFIMSSA for the good conduct of the students of the faculty, as he said that no students of FFMS has been found to be part of any crisis on campus, he attributed this glory to the good leadership of the Faculty students’ association.

The purpose of the meeting as rightly said by him was to encourage and motivate students of Faculty of Financial Management Studies to participate by also writing on any of the sub-themes of the conference adding that students can come up with a new topic within the scope of the theme. [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

In his word, students will benefit a lot from this opportunity as it will widen the intelligence of the students and will also give students the opportunity of presenting and seeing how papers are being presented adding that writing of papers is similar to seminal written by students and urge students to utilize this opportunity.

In the same vein, the staff advisers buttressed the need and profitability of students to be part of this academic feast as they will have a lot to benefit in the long-run.

However, the meeting did not end without suggestions and questions from student comrades present. Part of the suggestions given and questions asked are:

  • There should be orientation for OND students, as they know nothing much about writing papers/seminar
  • There should be an in-house presentation for the students before the normal presentation, so as to prepare the students ahead, as most of the students that may write well may be too shy to defend their works.
  • Will the paper be published on any periodical?
  • Yes, those that are worthy for publication will surely be published
