Management Implored To Extend Wi-Fi To Other Areas On Campus

Wireless fidelity is a wireless internet, popularly known as Wi-Fi. It is called Wireless Fidelity because it can access or connect to a network using radio waves without needing to use wires. However, the Polytechnic, Ibadan is experiencing on epileptic Wi-Fi services, thus providing a weak network services.

The Polytechnic, Ibadan receives an internet access fee, which is made compulsory for every student during registration. It covers the provision of internet access for students and also for e-library services. [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

It is discovered that the Wi-Fi connection is restricted to certain areas. The Wi-Fi can only be accessed at the central library, located at the middle-belt of the Polytechnic, Ibadan. This however, causes inconveniences for student far away from the Central Library.

The management is therefore, implored to please urgently see into this as internet services is part of educational activities on campus. 

Also, the students expresses their need to access the benefit of the internet access fee paid by every student.

  1. yes… at the south library and at the mechatronics arena…it is a little bit fast but still manageable… its better than no Wi-Fi at all
