Politics On Campus Is Practicable In The Interest Of Democracy

Politics in The Polytechnic, Ibadan has been the current issue on ground in which the student aspirant campaign for a particular post. The aspiring student gives people detailed information about themselves and the post they vie for. As a result of the campaign, 50% of the students in the school are interested in the political activities of the school, as a contestant with the hope of emerging as a winner when the time comes for the election.

The aspirants also try their best to convince and influence a voter’s decision so as to vote them in. Student often in construe being a contestant in a competition and an aspirant vying for a post. [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

In one thousand (1,000) capacity, a lady was interviewed she said “She would like to be the Miss ASCOM for the next tenure and she promise to do her best so as to  achieve the post”. Sequel to what the lady said above, she aims at being emerged as Miss ASCOM among many other contestants compare to a student aspiring for the president of the department.

In lieu of this, some students also bring bills to class to distribute so as to vote for them during the election stating different reasons for the students to their interest.

Lastly, politics in The Polytechnic, Ibadan is likely and practicable only if it is played in the interest of Democracy.
