Senate House Goes Against Online Payment Of SUG Due

The Senate House, in the release of their recent parliamentary session dated 7th of December, 2018, has rejected the mode of online payment of SUG due as proposed by the Students’ Union Executive, and concluded that the old means of payment should be maintained.

The conjecture which was reached after much deliberation, consultation and voting by the simple majority of the house was found to be lacking in students’ security measures and convenience. The proposal was rejected by the Senate house based on the following: [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

  • – Stress involved on the part of the students
  • – Poor mode of accountability
  • – Poor or no proper system analysis
  • – High cost of creation and maintenance of the website
  • – Forgery of fake receipts by students.

4 Comments on Senate House Goes Against Online Payment Of SUG Due

  1. I think the SUG online payment is a better choice. The senate house should not have rejected it.
More so, the senate house’s 5 points are not genuine and it should not have prompt a reject in the proposal

  2. The senate house wouldn’t know what students go through just to pay the SUG dues taking it online would have been a better option

  3. I think online payment is better, but one of their reasons for rejecting the proposal is cost of creating and maintaining a website for the payment, which is a genuine concern.

  4. The first point “Stress on part on students” – Do the Senate really know the meaning of this at all..

What’s the stress in making payment online.. Unless if you never integrate the online payment portal properly

Also can you compare that to the stress of paying at ur so call SUG Building.

I believe Senate rejected that all because it will hinder them from carrying out their fraudulent activities .i.e embezzlement, and waving of the Due off few of the friends..
