Students’ Union Executives Suspended, Bank Accounts Frozen!

With respect to the letter sent by the Management to the SUG on Thursday, 4th April 2019, the institution has suspended the 2018/2019 Students’ Union Executive with immediate effect.

Full text reads:

SUSPENSION OF 2018/2019 STUDENTS’ UNION EXECUTIVE

As a result of unfavourably security situation on campus which might affect the safety of students, staff and properties of the institution, the Management has therefore suspended the 2018/2019 Students’ Union with immediate effect.

Thank you.

Also, another letter sent by the Management to Wema bank on 4th April, 2019 requested that all Students’ Union Accounts be frozen. [adinserter name=”Block 3″][adinserter name=”Block 2″]

REQUEST FOR FROZEN OF STUDENTS’ UNION GOVERNMENT ACCOUNT

I have the directive of the Management to inform you to freeze all accounts of the Students’ Union in your bank with immediate effect.

    I think it’s a right decision, to avoid misappropriation of funds.

  2. It’s kind of strange and funny to me that TPI as the power and authority to freeze the account of SUG.. I thought you can’t order a bank to freeze a customers account without a proper court order

      The school has right to frozen student union account because the school overseas everything they does and they also account for everything spent

    @codex what you don’t understand is that the sug excos are just like state worker or should I call them counsellor of local government in which the federal government has autonomy over them.
